Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are you insured?

Yes. We have liability insurance through Next Insurance.

2. How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

As soon as possible! We only take 1 wedding per weekend. We recommend contacting us the year before your event.

3. How much do you charge?

This depends on what kind of video(s) you are interested in and how many hours of coverage you need. Our pricing starts at $4799 for two filmmakers, 8 hours of coverage, a "doc-edit" of the ceremony & reception and a cinematic highlight film.

4. Do we get to choose the music for our wedding film?

Yes and No. We are limited to songs that we can purchase the rights to use. Most of our couples will allow us to pick a song for them based on the type of music they like. If you want to choose the music, we would have you find a few songs on The Music Bed and Tracks Music. That way you and our company are protected from copyright infringement.

5. Do you have backup personnel and equipment?

Yes. We know a number of qualified videographers throughout New England that we could contact in an emergency. We always go out with an extra camera, more batteries and memory cards then we would ever need, and multiple audio recorders to ensure that if anything isn't working properly, we have backup. After your wedding is over, we will duplicate the media onto different hard drives just in case a drive ever malfunctions.

6. How many hours of coverage do I need for my wedding?

We usually recommend starting 2-3 hours before the ceremony or 2 hours before your first look. (This could vary depending on driving distances from location to location). We recommend having us there about an hour past the last event of your reception so we can capture footage of your guests dancing.

7. Are you comfortable with LBGTQ weddings and have you filmed any in the past?

Absolutely! We love, love. We treat every wedding equally regardless of whom we are working with.

8. Will you and my photographer get in each other's way at all during my wedding?

We try our best to work around your photographer(s). We always communicate with the photographer(s) before events are happening to see where they are going to be, let them know where we would like to be, and figure out how to stay out of each other's shots. We have a very unobtrusive style of shooting and we try not to be noticed by anyone. We love working with other wedding professionals and getting to know new people. We are all there for the same reason, to make sure our couples have the most unforgettable wedding and to make sure everything goes smoothly.

9. Do you accept credit card payments?

Yes.

10. Do you have a drone?

We can offer drone coverage based on the availability of our certified, freelance drone operators. Please check with your venue before inquiring about drone coverage. Some venues do not allow drones on their property.

11. Who will the videographer at our wedding be?

Crystal or Jonathan will be the lead videographer at your event.

12. How long does it take to get our video after the wedding day?

Our turnaround time is anywhere between 3 and 5 months. This can vary depending on the time of year and how many videos we have in our editing queue on the day of your wedding. Please keep in mind that we need your music selections to start editing. Not sending us your music can delay the process. We will alert you when we begin editing to give you an idea of when the editing will be finished.

13. Do you offer military discounts?

Yes, we offer a military and first responder discount of 10% off. Also, we sponsor a non-profit called The Unquiet Professional. We would love if you took a moment to go to their homepage and see what they are all about. The owner, Krista, is one of our brides from 2017!

14. Do you travel out of state?

Yes, we love going to new places to shoot! If something is more than two hours away from Cranston, RI, we may charge an extra fee for a hotel room. This depends on our start and end time (to avoid long drives home after a tiring day). Events outside of RI, CT or MA require additional costs for travel and hotel accommodations.

15. Can we meet you before deciding to book?

Yes, we love to meet our couples so they can get to know us and we can get to know them. From personal experience, we've found that it is super important to meet your vendors and get to know their personalities before booking. We would love to meet up!

16. Do you use lights at the reception?

We use off camera lighting at the reception so it is not distracting to your guests. We usually set them up by the DJ or Band's speakers to light up the dance floor a little bit. These are only used while we are filming

17. How do you get clear sounding audio in your videos?

We always put a lavalier microphone on the officiant and the groom or bride for the ceremony. We also ask the DJ or Band Leader if we can plug into the output of their mixer or speaker to ensure we get great sounding audio of the announcements and toasts.

18. Do you have experience with fusion weddings, or weddings consisting of different cultural and religious traditions?

Yes. We have filmed just about everything. If you have a question about a specific type of event, please let us know. We may have a sample we can show you of the type of event you are having.

19. We would love more information, what should we do now?

Please fill out out the form on our contact page. You can also e-mail us at crystal@annearweddingfilms.com. Be sure to let us know your wedding date so we can check our availability.
